The media and communication world is in a transition phase from traditional media to digital media. The early adopters will achieve the success. Mass communication professionals are adopting the digital media, and in India too, the transition is happening at a lightning pace. Yesterday’s anchors have transformed themselves into today’s MOJO journalists. Radio Jockeys are becoming podcasters, and bloggers are becoming Vloggers. In one sentence, multimedia communication is fast replacing the world of Radio, Television and Print Media. Still, it is important to know the core skills of traditional media to take the full advantage of exponential growth in the digital media. And core skills of content creation remain the same. Keeping this in mind, JSTS has launched this unique combination of DCLP + Diploma in Mass Communication wherein students get the advantage of learning all the aspects of Mass Communication, thereby transforming them into digital communication leaders.

In this programme,the students pursue full-time autonomous programme of the Institute and a UGC recognized Distance Learning Programme in Journalism and Mass Communication alongside Media Labs

News Broadcasting Team (NBT)

The Jag School of Transformative Skills (JSTS) has a News Broadcasting Team (NBT) that produces TV shows, news bulletins, feature programmes and documentaries. The platform offers students an opportunity to work in a real newsroom environment and prepare themselves for all the challenges that await them in the mainstream media.

Radio Lab (Radio Jhankar)

The radio lab at Jag School of Transformative Skills produces radio features, music programmes, and social awareness campaigns. Students who aspire to be radio jockeys and programmers get ample opportunities to nurture their talent here.

The Live Voice

he TV channels have been reduced to platforms designated for shouting matches, and facts have been the biggest casualty. JSTS’ digital media lab helps students familiarise themselves with online tools, social media, and digital video production. The Live Voice is a platform open to the world. Its objective is to contribute to the consciousness of the general public.

Transformation Process

Conventional Media is converging towards Digital Media at a fast pace. A student who works in an environment that has Digital Media Lab gets an opportunity to acquaint herself with the latest technologies and best practices followed in the Digital Business Environment. Courses in Digital Media Production, Digital Marketing, and Digital Business prepare him for future leadership roles in the MNCs, NGOs, PSUs and Government Departments.

Outcome of  the Course

At the end of the programme, students will have undergone various introductory and immersive courses as per their choice of specialization or tracks. These tracks prepare them with the required skill-set to pursue jobs in the areas of Content Creation, Online Sales, Analytics, Digital Business Planning, Digital Marketing & Management. They are equipped with skills to use various tools for Social Media and Ads, Email Marketing, Landing Pages, Project Management & Online Collaboration, Video and Media Creation and Analytics.
